Cute Little Bird Ornaments

Hi everyone, back again with another project for you all. I have had this pin on my to do list for quite some time...
and this week Faith sent me some more spools. So this is my take on these cute little bird ornaments.
I have used some craft wire to fashion the hanger. To create the circle I just molded it around a bottle that was just the perfect size. I then tested the proportions with these cute little birds from the store.
I then got myself a little production line happening.
I lined the top of the spool with a 1 inch punchout of some dictionary papers and then added some cheesecloth, that I wrapped loosely around my fingers to create the nest. I added some eyelash trim to add a bit more texture and wrapped some co-ordinating seam binding around the centre of the spool.
Once I had all the nests done, it was time to added the birds, beads and flowers.....then before I knew it they were all lined up waiting for their glamour shots.....
....and here they are
I have hung a small "love" charm from the top of the wire hanger...and added some beads too

I just love how cute these are....they would make great little easter or springtime table decorations.
