Hello everyone,

Thanks for stopping by. Wow we had a fab weekend just gone. We exhibited at the NZ Craft & Design Show in Napier. Met some lovely ladies and gents & like minded crafters. I love meeting new crafty peeps :) I was pleased that our display and MDF products were hugely popular and we had heaps of enquiries relating to kits. We intend to cater for this in our upcoming shows.

This week I thought I would showcase a MDF head piece/ face that we have in stock together with some colours of sorts....colours of sorts you ask? I am not quite sure where I am headed with this yet and so have decided to make it a 2 part blog post.

I gathered some of our metal pieces together with some black gesso, E6000 glue and MDF face.

I proceeded to place down all my metals so to cover up as much of the board as possible.. I did however make sure to have a nice placement for where the eye sits - with my steampunk key piece and metal wing. After I was happy with the coverage, I started to gesso over the entire board.  Here's how its looking at the moment. I think I am pretty happy with that?

Now to the exciting part... add waxes? Or acrylic paints? Maybe some sprays? Where to next? Maybe I will let you decide what I should use next to bring this piece to life? Head on over to our Facebook page and feel free to give me some suggestions and I will giveaway a MDF face with metal embellishments for you to create your own with.

Let's see the end result next week?

Hugs,

Faith
